About the Course
What are you going to learn?
OnyxCeph Fundamentals teaches you how to use OnyxCeph fully and independently, from the first patient record to an aligner setup ready for production. In three live 1-to-1 Zoom sessions with Dr. Raul Mora, official OnyxCeph trainer, you work in your own OnyxCeph installation and get your questions answered in real time.
This course is about mastering the software, not treatment planning: by the end, you can prepare a case and build a complete setup in OnyxCeph on your own. To learn how to plan cases with clinical criteria, continue with Clinical Treatment Planning & Staging Protocols, or take both in the OnyxCeph Complete Program.

Course Content
Session 1: Patient setup & model preparation (2 h)
- Create patient profiles and upload photographs, X-rays, STL and DICOM files
- CBCT registration with intraoral scans
- Edit module: clean and remesh STL files, bite adjustment, smoothing and sculpting
- Create bases: cut, size and label bases
- Segmentation: separate teeth, adjust interproximal and root surfaces, use CBCT real roots
Sessions 2–3: Aligner 3D fundamentals (4 h)
- Navigate the Aligner 3D interface and tool panels
- Select teeth and apply translations and rotations with control
- Movement constraints, occlusion and contacts
- Place, edit and remove attachments
- Staging tools: sequences, step size and activation
- Corrections and refinements of the setup
- Export STL files ready for production
Who it's for
Dentists, orthodontists and lab technicians who are new to OnyxCeph, or who use it without structured training.
What you need
- OnyxCeph installed, with an active license including the Aligner 3D module
- A computer with a mouse (a second screen helps)
- Zoom
