This beginner course provides hands-on training in OnyxCeph, covering essential skills for patient setup, model editing, STL file manipulation, and precise segmentation to streamline your workflow.
This foundational OnyxCeph training provides beginners with the essential skills to streamline digital orthodontic workflows through patient setup, model editing, base creation, and segmentation. You’ll start by learning how to create patient profiles, upload and edit clinical records, and perform CBCT registration for precise case analysis. In the Edit Module, you’ll master STL file cleaning, remeshing, bite adjustments, and advanced editing techniques like smoothing surfaces, sculpting gingival areas, and modifying structures. The Create Base section covers cutting STL files, customizing and sizing bases, and adding professional labels, while the Segmentation module focuses on bite adjustment, model alignment, and cast creation. By the end, you’ll have the confidence to prepare accurate, high-quality digital models for orthodontic treatment planning.
This foundational OnyxCeph training introduces you to the essential tools and workflows needed for digital orthodontics, focusing on patient setup, model editing, base creation, and segmentation. Designed for beginners, this hands-on course will guide you step by step to build confidence in managing digital records and preparing precise, high-quality models for treatment planning.
You’ll begin with the Create Patient module, where you’ll learn how to set up patient profiles and upload clinical records, including photographs, X-rays, STL files, and DICOM files. We’ll cover bite adjustment and view optimization for a precise digital workflow, along with CBCT registration and its integration with intraoral scans, ensuring accurate case analysis tailored to each patient.
In the Edit Module, you’ll gain practical experience in cleaning and remeshing STL files, adjusting models, and applying advanced techniques such as manual remeshing, surface smoothing, adding or removing structures, and sculpting gingival areas to refine models for optimal treatment planning.
The Create Base section will teach you how to cut STL files for base creation, customize and size different base options, and add personalized labels to achieve professional-quality results.
Finally, in the Segmentation module, you’ll learn how to separate individual teeth from a single STL model into independent units for aligner movement simulations. We’ll explore key techniques for achieving predictable tooth movements, adjusting interproximal and root surfaces, and combining segmentation with CBCT real-root data previously registered with intraoral scans. By the end of this training, you’ll be equipped with the skills to execute precise, predictable, and professional digital workflows in OnyxCeph.
I improved myself even more thanks to this course, the training was very instructive . Thank you dr raul👍
"We have just finished a very comprehensive tutorial from Dr.Mora. He was able to run through the processes of the software in a way that was easy to understand and for my team to put into action for our lab. Brilliant, thank you."
"The training was very useful. I have learnt how to use new different features of OnyxCeph even though I have been using it for 4 years. Many thanks, highly recommended!
